कंकालेश्वर मंदिर, बीड हे मराठवाड्यातील एकमेव सरोवर देवालय म्हणून प्रसिद्ध आहे. मंदिर हे त्रिदल पद्धतीचे असून चालुक्य कालीन आहे. मंदिराच्या बाह्यभागावर अप्रतिम शिल्पाविष्कार आहे. त्यामध्ये मंदिराच्या बाह्यभिंतीवर विष्णूचे भव अवतार अंकित आहेत. मंदिराच्या मंडोवरवर दशावतार अंकित आहेत असे मराठवाड्यातील हे एकमेव मंदिर आहे. दुर्दैवाने सद्यस्थितीत हे शिल्प अतिशय भग्न स्वरुपात आहेत. विशेष म्हणजे मंदिरावर विष्णूच्या भव स्वरूपातील ११ अवतार अंकित आहेत.
Kankaleshwar Temple, Beed is famous as the only lake temple in Marathwada. The temple is of Tridal style and is of Chalukya period. The exterior of the temple has ornamented with amazing sculptures. Incarnations of the Vishnu carved on the outer wall of the temple. This is the only temple in Marathwada where Dashavatar is carved on the mandovara of the temple. Unfortunately at present this sculpture is in a very broken form. Interestingly, there are 11 incarnations of Lord Vishnu carved on the temple.
